When is Eklectica?

Saturday 9th September & Sunday 10th September 2017… a whole weekend of fun!

Tell me about Eklectica...

Described as a festival with a twist, Eklectica is an exciting combination of acts that promise to be diverse, quirky and creative – headlined by internationally renowned, show stopping tribute bands – all set within the unique woodland setting of Robin Hill.  Expect the unexpected!

The Amphitheatre boasts the idea of turning quirky into an art form by showcasing all kinds of entertainment.  From circus to poetry, comedy to fine art, theatre to burlesque, we have a line-up that will flabbergast your artistic senses!     Acts include The Victorian Circus Duo, Professor Elemental, The Mime Guys, Vintage Comedy Duo, The FB Pocket Orchestra, Dave Sharp’s Speed Painting and The Ventnor Darlings to name but a few.

Set in the stunning heart of the Woodlands you’ll find the epicentre of electronic and dance music, featuring a programme of fresh, up-tempo sounds. Saturday’s line-up promises a cut throat and current line up to include the Superb ‘Daft Club’ daft Punk tribute experience, plus south coast talent ‘Kry Wolf’ and friends.   Assuming a ‘dance classic’ posture, the Sunday line-up includes essential listening for cultured clubbers, including sounds from some of the UK’s champions of club classics.   Sunday’s line up to be announced soon.

And for those seeking a refuge from the madness elsewhere, Africa is the setting for an oasis of fun and frivolity!  Feast on a programme so diverse it merges homegrown Island talent, Mexicana and old school disco vibes!    A refuge from the madness – but only until it gets dark!  Get ready to mingle with mariachi kings ‘Vote Pedro’, get your groove on to local talent from Platform One College of Music, plus time warp back to the old school with sets from The Xtreme 80’s.   More acts to be announced soon.

Performing on the Main Stage and celebrating the music of yesterday and today, experience amazing full show productions from our tribute band headliners :

Official UK Number One Winner of The National Tribute Music Awards 2016 : Ultimate Elton John and the Rocket Band will perform a truly wonderful celebration of the life and music of Elton John on Saturday night.  Close your eyes and you won’t believe your ears, open your eyes and you won’t believe them.  You simply won’t find a closer tribute to Sir Elton John.   Indeed, Elton’s former manager, John Reid, said “I defy anyone not to believe that Paul Bacon presents the Ultimate Elton Show”.    Performing at Elton John’s mother’s 90th birthday, Elton’s mum declared him “sensational”.

Sunday gives you a double whammy of headliners!  Be prepared to be blown away by Killer Queen, the only Queen tribute band to have sold out arenas all over the world, most recently, the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre in America.  “Patrick Meyers recreation of Queen’s lead singer is simply uncanny” states Baz Bamignoye of the Daily Mail, whilst Duncan Kennedy of BBC1 said, “No detail is overlooked.  Killer Queen are kings of the musical impersonators, the highest of tributes”.

Then, to close Eklectica, relive the magic of Michael Jackson starring Ben.   With an incredible live band, stunning costumes, iconic dance show and the World’s Number One Michael Jackson soundalike, this show promises to create the most authentic, lively and powerful recreation of the iconic Superstar, that will leave even the most die-hard MJ fans crying out for more!

Supporting tribute bands on Saturday include The Killerz, Madness Tribute Band – Los Palmas 6, Mumma Mia Abba Tribute, the World’s original One Direction tribute band and Little Chix.   Whilst on Sunday, enjoy singing along with tribute bands Stevie Wonder, Duran Duran tribute band Duran 2 and Almost Olly, Olly Murs Tribute Show.
